Zamboanga City Water District Officials Benchmark Maynilad’s Water Reclamation Facilities

On June 20, 2024, six Zamboanga City Water District (ZCWD) officials participated in a benchmarking activity at Maynilad’s Water Reclamation Facilities in Quezon City. The visit aimed to provide insights into advanced wastewater management practices and technologies and included an informative lecture and a tour of Maynilad’s state-of-the-art facilities, featuring Conventional Activated Sludge, Moving Bed Bioreactor, and Sequencing Batch Reactor systems.

The benchmarking activity at Maynilad’s Water Reclamation Facilities provided a unique opportunity for ZCWD to compare its processes and performance against those of industry leaders. By observing Maynilad’s innovative treatment methods, ZCWD officials can learn best practices and advanced technologies in wastewater management.
