Water Demand Management

Basic Water Demand Management (WDM) is a management approach that aims to conserve water by influencing demand. It involves the application of selective incentives to promote efficient and equitable use of water. In partnership with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) and USAID, an online training on Basic WDM was conducted last March 24-25 and June 24-25, 2021. The training aims to introduce the participants to the foundational concepts of water demand management; familiarize them on the relevance of water footprint to their respective organizations; introduce basic WDM strategies, tools, and techniques, and encourage responsible water use. Experts from Maynilad served participated in the online eve Engr. Rodora Gamboa, Executive Director for the Maynilad Water Academy and Chair of the Water Footprint Reduction Action Agenda, Water Alliance gave the opening message.  Engr. David Andrew B. Fernandez, Manager for NRW Services, South District for CNRW Maynilad discussed about the importance of Water Audit, Water Balance and Cost Introduction and shared practical management strategies on basic water demand.
