On April 23, 2025, 33 senior microbiology students from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) conducted a field visit at the Maynilad Water Lab & Environment Management facility. The educational tour aimed to provide practical learning experiences and expose students to the water and wastewater management industry. During the presentation, Maynilad Scientists explained various tests conducted for water and wastewater, highlighting essential parameters, guidelines, and their importance in maintaining water quality standards. Students gained insights into the technical aspects of water and wastewater management and learned about the services provided by Maynilad.
After the presentation, the students toured the facility, observing the production processes involved in water and wastewater management. Students had the unique opportunity to see the microbiology laboratory, where they saw advanced technology and experienced the processes firsthand. This educational tour offered students a deeper understanding of the water industry and potential career opportunities, connecting their academic knowledge with real-world applications and enriching their educational journey.
