Thirteen students and faculty members from Tamkang University in Taiwan participated in a learning session hosted by Maynilad Water Academy (MWA) through a short educational plant visit on January 28, 2026. The activity formed part of the university’s immersion program in the Philippines, which focuses on urban sustainability, public utility governance, and the implementation of sustainability‑related policies.
Held at the La Mesa Water Treatment Plant 2, the session provided an overview of the water treatment process, giving participants firsthand insight into how Maynilad ensures the delivery of clean, safe, and potable water to millions of customers across Metro Manila. Through the guided tour, the delegation learned about essential treatment stages, quality assurance measures, and system operations that support reliable water services.
By welcoming international academic groups, Maynilad reaffirms its commitment to knowledge sharing, operational transparency, and the promotion of sustainable water management practices. The Maynilad Water Academy continues to serve as a platform for global collaboration and capacity building in the utilities sector.
