The Maynilad Water Academy (MWA) hosted an educational plant visit for 26 students and faculty members from Sudo Electric Technical High School in South Korea.
The visit was organized through the school’s partnership with the Meralco Power Academy (MPA), which supports international learning exposure in the power and utilities sector. As part of their study tour in the Philippines, the South Korean delegation joined a guided technical tour of the La Mesa Water Treatment Plant 1, where they learned about the facility’s key operational processes—from raw water treatment to quality monitoring—that ensure Metro Manila’s supply of clean and reliable drinking water.
The activity offered participants valuable insights into real‑world water treatment operations while allowing Maynilad to engage with an international academic community.
This initiative underscores Maynilad’s commitment to global knowledge exchange and the strengthening of industry–academe collaboration. Through engagements like this, the Maynilad Water Academy continues to advance water education and promote awareness of sustainable water management practices.
