The Maynilad Water Academy and Maynilad’s Subject Matter Experts from its WaterLab conducted a Water Utility Operations- Laboratory Management System Training for (SWA) Samoa Water Authority.
Six participants joined the online training from May 9 to June 15, 2023. This training aimed to bolster SWA operations by equipping participants with advanced skills and knowledge in water quality assessment and laboratory practices. The program sought to enhance regulatory compliance, improve reporting practices, and strengthen the overall laboratory management of water utility operations in Samoa.
The Water Laboratory Training program aimed to enhance water quality assessment by providing participants with advanced techniques and methodologies aligned with international standards. The training focused on strengthening laboratory skills, covering sample collection, preservation, analysis, and data interpretation. It emphasized the significance of regulatory compliance in water quality management to ensure public health and safety.
Lastly, relevant authorities promoted effective reporting practices to enable informed decision-making. The successful implementation of the Water Laboratory Training program reinforces Samoa’s commitment to providing safe and clean water to its communities while fostering a skilled and competent workforce in the water utility sector.
