Last December 2019, another batch of visitors from Pakistan were part of the “Joint-Workshop on Water and Environmental Sanitation Operations” with Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Maynilad Water Academy (MWA). Participants of the workshop were representatives from Pakistan water utilities and local government including the Provincial Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Local Government, Elections and Rural Development, Mr. Shahram Khan Tarakai.
The workshop focused on how the Pakistan government can promote “reforms” on water and sanitation from Maynilad’s experience. The learning sessions discussed water operations as well as how paradigm shifts had taken place in Metro Manila.
MWA has been expanding its reach globally through various twinning programs and workshops with water utilities from various countries.
