Maynilad Water Academy joins the 43rd Annual Convention of the Philippines Association of Water Districts (PAWD) last June 15 to 17, 2022.
Held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino and hosted by the Metropolitan Cebu Water District. Around 2000 participants water professionals attended the convention. Foreign and local companies showcased their technologies in a two-day exhibit.
The theme for this year’s convention “Water governance towards building a better normal” covered the importance of bouncing back despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The learning sessions discussed salient strategies to efficiently respond to water demand and sanitation issues and challenges. Engr. Rodora N. Gamboa, MWA’s Executive Director addressed the significance of data analytics in water operations in the plenary session. Her session was titled “Better Normal in Water Operations Data-Driven!”
Other sessions tackled national water security, innovation, water demand management, water governance, and digital transformation.
The convention concluded with a motivational talk from Paulo Tibig titled “The Why of Work.”
