Maynilad Water Academy (MWA) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Intramuros Administration for the Ugnayang Tubig at Kasaysayan  (History and Water Education)  last May 28, 2019 at the Palacio Del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila.

The program aims to complement the rehabilitation efforts for Manila bay by using history as a platform to promote water education. Intramuros, rich in history, is located near Manila Bay and geographically connected to waterways in Manila. The objective is to instill awareness on the importance of history, environmental preservation, and water education. Expected participants for the program are students who are considered as next generation of leaders.

It is imperative to instill among the next generation the value of understanding the link between history and caring for our environment specifically our water ways. With the strategic location of Intramuros, efforts to preserve and conserve our environment can use education as a modality of change.

Inspired by education, MWA is committed to support the efforts of the national government in rehabilitating Manila Bay.
