On August 8, 2024, the Learning Center at La Mesa Water Treatment Plant 2 and Water Lab hosted a facility tour for the Empowering Youths Across ASEAN (EYAA) Program, which was part of a two-week immersion in the Philippines focused on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Education (WASH-Ed).

The event, attended by 13 ASEAN representatives and three coordinators, was organized by Masy Consultants, Inc., WASH Education Pty. LTD, the Caloocan Youth Leaders Initiative, the Maynilad Waterlab, Water Supply Operations, and Wastewater Services.

The tour gave participants an overview of Maynilad’s advanced water and wastewater treatment technologies, featuring the systems that ensure safe and clean water—this learning experience aimed to teach about water treatment processes and promote regional collaboration in WASH education.
