December 2, 2019
Learning the importance of Wastewater Management through plant visit at Veterans Water Reclamation Facility.

This year was the 4th batch of the Junior Water Camp with St. Paul Pasig Senior High School. The program started with the history of water in Museo El Deposito in San Juan City. The museum features the history of our water system in Metro Manila and  the people who have contributed to it during the Spanish period.

The program also focuses on how the water system works in Manila in the present time specifically on water source, water treatment, water distribution, and Non-Revenue water.

Students were also exposed to the different facilities of Maynilad including La Mesa Treatment Plant, Central Depot and Veterans Village Water Reclamation Facility (to learn about wastewater management).

Junior Water Camp aims to develop appreciation of water in students and inform them about the career options in the water sector.

The students were exposed to warehouse equipment in Maynilad’s Central Depot.
