Water Demand Management Training with PBSP

April 30, 2018

Maynilad Water Academy (MWA) with Maynilad Non-Revenue Water (NRW) Team conducted a water demand management training and water survey with Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) for Water Alliance Members last April 2018 at Microtel Hotel in Libis, Quezon City.

Water demand management (WDM) is a new strategy of managing water that has emerged from the global issue of increasing water demand and water scarcity even in our country. It is an effective approach that aims to increased water efficiency and to conserve water by influencing demand. It consists of reducing the quantity of water required to accomplish a task as it flows from the source through use and disposal.

WDM includes the use of public policies, laws, water rates and measures and practices to reduce water use, with the goal of securing long-term, reliable, affordable, and safe supply of water for the benefit of society and the environment.
