Last September 2019, Maynilad Water Academy (MWA) in partnership with Asian Development Bank (ADB) facilitated a Non-Revenue Water Management Training with 20 water utility managers from Dhaka WASA in Bangladesh.
The program consists of different lectures on NRW, meter management and leak detection. As part of the holistic approach of MWA programs, there were also hands on activities on leak detection, water balance and District Metered Area (DMA) establishment and site visits.
The MWA NRW management program aims to help water companies reduce their Non-Revenue Water. Lower NRW will result in better service to customers, reduced unauthorized water usage, lower wastewater treatment costs, and better water resource savings.
