Water Education Tour with Benguet State University

As part of the Maynilad Water Academy’s programs, water education tours are conducted upon the request of schools. This April 2018, a group of 4th and 5th year students of Veterinary Medicine from Benguet State University visited and toured La Mesa Treatment Plant 2.

They learned about the various processes in water treatment. The students were specifically interested in the microorganisms found in untreated water as part of their microbiology and food hygiene subjects.

The Water Education Tour (WET) aims to introduce participants to the different aspects of operations, including water source, water treatment, water distribution, and wastewater treatment. Professionals working in water and wastewater operations conduct lectures that cover basic company information and the water treatment process.
